Kindred Nursing Centers East, L.L.C. ('Kindred', DBA 'Franklin') operates a nursing facility at 130 Chestnut St. Franklin, Norfolk County Massachusetts under the name "Franklin Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center" ("Franklin").

On July, 2006 suits were filed against Kindred in Massachusetts Superior court alleging multiple counts of Nursing Home Abuse. Click here for the abuse lawsuit complaint details. The abuse of elderly patients took place repeatedly during 2003 and 2004 at the Franklin facility according to the Attorney General and the State Department of Public Health Report investigating complaints of abuse.

Joined as a co-defendant in the suit was a CNA Nurse assistant employee Bernadette Stackpole who was indicted and later convicted of several counts of Elder abuse.
