Hamill argues in landmark
Supreme Judicial Court case
In a landmark case that the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (in their
January 2005 issue) called the most significant Legal decision
of the entire 2004 year, Bernard Hamill argued in front of the full
State Supreme Court on Feb. 3, 2004 advocating on behalf of his
client in a workplace discrimination case filed at the Massachusetts
Commission against discrimination. The case, Keyland
vs. MCAD 2003-P-1042 was the subject of legal briefs
from numerous employer and employee organizations. The decision
by the court set a new standard for deciding "emotional distress"
standards at MCAD hearings.
