Vioxx or Rofecoxib- has been
responsible for numerous cardiovascular thromboembolic (blood clot)
incidents. Myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, and sudden death
have been reported by patients taking Vioxx, a Cox-2 inhibitor produced
by Merck. Merck has now withdrawn its highly marketed Arthritis
drug from the market.

Bextra was taken off the market
on 4-4-05 by Pfizer due to concerns from the FDA about the increased
